--Karur Vysya Bank cuts MCLR by 10 bps across tenures
MUMBAI – Karur Vysya Bank has reduced the marginal cost of funds-based lending rates by 10 basis points across tenures, effective Sunday, the bank said in an exchange filing on Thursday.
The revised MCLR for the bank now ranges from 9.15% to 9.45%. The Reserve Bank of India's norms require banks to review their MCLR every month. The Tamil Nadu-based bank's net profit for the June quarter rose nearly 14% on year to INR 5.21 billion. Sequentially, the net profit was up just a little over 1%. The bank's other income increased nearly 16% on year to INR 4.47 billion. At 1521 IST, the shares of the bank traded at INR 206.00 on the National Stock Exchange, up 1.5% from the previous close.
