Tata Motors launches LPT 812 truck with 5-tn rated payload capacity

MUMBAI – Tata Motors Ltd. Wednesday launched Tata LPT 812 truck under its intermediate, light and medium commercial vehicles segment. This four-tyre truck has a 5-tonne rated payload capacity and delivers 125 horsepower and 360 Newton-metres torque, the company said in an exchange filing.
The truck has a 5-speed gearbox and a booster-assisted clutch for smooth gearshift. It also features parabolic front suspension with an anti-roll bar, full S-cam air brakes, and tilt and telescopic power steering, as per the exchange filing.
For the quarter ended June, the company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 39.24 billion on revenue of INR 1.04 trillion. At 1319 IST, its shares traded at INR 690.50 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.9%. End
