NEW DELHI – Waaree Energies Ltd. has got board approval to acquire 64% of the share capital of advanced transformer solutions company Kotson's Pvt. Ltd. for a total consideration of INR 1.92 billion, the company said in a stock exchange filing Tuesday. Post-acquisition, Kotson's will become a subsidiary of the company.

 

Waaree Energies said the acquisition of Kotson's, which designs, manufactures, and supplies advanced transformer solutions, will enable the company's vertical integration and access to electrical ecosystem for projects. The acquisition of shares will be paid for in cash and is likely to be completed by Sept. 30, it said.

 

The company also got board approval Tuesday to acquire 100% stake in step-down subsidiary Impactgrid Renewables Pvt. Ltd. from its wholly-owned subsidiary Waaree Forever Energies Pvt. Ltd.

 

Shares of Waaree Energies closed flat at INR 3,199.10 Tuesday on the National Stock Exchange.  End
