RBI OKs re-appointment of RS Gandhi as YES Bk part-time chairman till May'27

NEW DELHI – The Reserve Bank of India has approved the re-appointment of Rama Subramaniam Gandhi as part-time chairman of YES Bank Ltd. till May 13, 2027, the lender said Tuesday. YES Bank first appointed Gandhi as part-time chairman for three years on Sept. 20, 2022.
Gandhi, a central banker for 37 years, was the deputy governor in the RBI from 2014 to 2017. He has a Master's degree in Economics from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu.
YES Bank's net profit rose nearly 60% on year in the June quarter to INR 8.01 billion. On Monday, shares of the bank ended 2.4% higher at INR 19.55 on the National Stock Exchange. End
