India June outstanding NRI deposits $168.33 bln, up $12.55 bln from year ago

MUMBAI – Outstanding deposits by non-resident Indians rose to $168.33 billion at the end of June, up $12.55 billion from a year ago, according to provisional data released Thursday by the Reserve Bank of India. The outstanding NRI deposits were at $166.72 billion a month ago and $155.78 billion a year ago.
Deposits under the Non-Resident (External) Rupee Account were $102.75 billion at the end of June, up from $100.11 billion a year ago and $101.86 billion a month ago. Outstanding deposits under the Foreign Currency Non-Resident (B) rose to $33.58 billion at the end of June from $33.25 billion a month ago. End
