Graphite India ups stake in associate co Godi India to 45.8% via rights issue

MUMBAI – Graphite India Ltd. Tuesday said its shareholding in associate company Godi India Pvt. Ltd. was increased to 45.76% from 33.77% after it subscribed to the latter's rights issue for INR 186.48 million. The subscription to the rights issue was on an arm's length basis, Graphite India said in an exchange filing. 

 

Telangana-based Godi India was incorporated in January 2020 and is engaged in the business of research and development of supercapacitors and materials for advanced battery and related new age technologies. This company's turnover was INR 15.37 million in 2023-24 (Apr-Mar) and INR 8.14 million in FY23. Godi India is at development stage and has not yet commenced commercial operations of any product, as per the exchange.

 

For the quarter ended June, the company had reported a net profit of INR 1.45 billion on revenue of INR 6.43 billion. Its shares closed at INR 520.80 on the National Stock Exchange Tuesday, down 1.3%. End
