HYDERABAD - The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday issued orders awarding two packages that are part of Amaravati capital city development works worth INR 7.88 billion to NCC Ltd., an official told Informist.

The orders include nearly INR 4.11 billion worth of water supply package-43 and INR 3.77 billion package-44 of the Amaravati capital city development project, which involves a water supply network, pumping stations, construction of reservoirs, pump houses and associated ancillary works, the official said. NCC emerged as the lowest bidder, and the state government approved the bids and issued the orders allocating the projects, the official said.

Both the packages were part of World Bank and Asian Development Bank-funded Amaravati capital city development projects, the official said. The Andhra Pradesh government has expedited the capital city development works with the aim of completing the green field capital city works within three years.

NCC has set a target of securing INR 220 billion to INR 250 billion worth of fresh orders in 2025-26 (Apr-Mar). In the June quarter, the company bagged fresh orders worth INR 36.58 billion, taking the consolidated order book to INR 700 billion, as on Jun. 30.

For the June quarter, NCC reported a net profit of INR 1.90 billion, down 5.3% on year, while its revenue fell 7.1% on year to INR 43.78 billion. At 1404 IST, shares of NCC were trading at INR 220.22 on the National Stock Exchange, up 1.5% from its previous close.  End
