MUMBAI – The Index Maintenance Sub-Committee of NSE Indices Ltd. announced changes Friday that will be effective Sept. 30. Shares of Hero MotoCorp and IndusInd Bank will be removed from the benchmark Nifty 50 and will be replaced by InterGlobe Aviation and Max Healthcare Institute, NSE Indices said in a press release Friday. 


In the Nifty 100 index, five stocks will be removed and another five will be added from Sept. 30. The stocks that will be removed from the 100-stock index are Dabur India, Hero MotoCorp, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co., IndusInd Bank, and Swiggy. These shares will be replaced by Hindustan Zinc, Max Healthcare Institute, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, Siemens Energy India, and Solar Industries India, as per the press release. 

 

Shares of BSE will replace those of HDFC Asset Management Co. in the Nifty Financial Services index. Piramal Pharma will be added in the Nifty Healthcare index while Granules India will be removed. In the Nifty Pharma index, two constituents Granules India and NATCO Pharma will be replaced by Piramal Pharma and Wockhardt. 

 

In the Nifty Auto index, shares of Balkrishna Industries and MRF will be replaced by Sona BLW Precision Forgings and UNO Minda. Two constituents of the Nifty Chemicals – E.I.D. Parry (India) and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals – will be replaced by Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corp. and Swan Energy. Shares of Raymond will be remove from the Nifty Realty and Signatureglobal (India) will be added. 

 

NSE Indices is a subsidiary of NSE and provides a variety of indices and index-related services for capital markets. The index replacements were announced during its semi-annual review. It had announced changes to other broader market indices, including Nifty 200 and Nifty 500.
