June CPI-AL inflation eases to 0.77% in Jul from 1.42% in Jun

NEW DELHI – India's annual inflation based on CPI for agricultural labourers fell to 0.77% in July from 1.42% in June, according to data released by the labour ministry Wednesday. The overall index for agricultural labourers in July was 135.31, higher than 134.08 a month ago.
The inflation based on CPI for rural labourers was 1.01% in July, lower than 1.73% in June. The index for rural labourers rose to 135.66 last month from 134.37 in June.
The government last month revised the base year for CPI for agricultural labourers and rural labourers to 2019 from 1986-87. CPI for agricultural labourers and CPI for rural labourers is used to revise minimum wages for agricultural labour and rural labour in different states. End
