NaBFID sanctions INR 2.3 tln loans for 232 infra projects as of Jul 18

NEW DELHI - The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development has sanctioned loans worth INR 2.31 trillion as on Jul. 18, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said Monday. The company has sanctioned loans to 232 infrastructure projects till Jul. 18.
Of the 232 projects NaBFID has sanctioned loans to, 162 infrastructure projects amounting to INR 1.75 trillion are sanctioned with tenure of more than 15 years, Chaudhary said in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha.
NaBFID was set up in 2021 to lend, invest, and attract investment from private sector and institutional investors for infrastructure projects in India. The government has infused INR 200 billion as equity and INR 50 billion as grant in the entity. End
