Cabinet approves INR 58.01 bln for next phase of Lucknow metro rail

NEW DELHI – The Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved the next phase of Lucknow Metro Rail Project in Uttar Pradesh. The project, with an outlay of INR 58.01 billion, will have 12 stations, a government release said. After operationalisation of this phase, Lucknow will have 34 km of active Metro rail network.
The metro network will enhance connectivity as well as stimulate economic activity, tourism, and ease urban mobility for both residents and visitors, the release said. End
