Leaves repo rate unchanged, retains ‘neutral’ stance

MUMBAI - The Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee Wednesday left the policy repo rate unchanged at 5.50%, Governor Sanjay Malhotra said. The committee also kept the policy stance unchanged at 'neutral'.
Fourteen of the 17 economists polled by Informist had said they expected the MPC to leave the repo rate unchanged at 5.50% at the end of the three-day meeting.
