Bharti Airtel consol net profit at INR 59.48 bln, below Street view; sales rise QoQ

NEW DELHI - Bharti Airtel Ltd. posted a consolidated net profit of INR 59.48 billion for the June quarter, lower than INR 110.22 billion profit in the previous quarter. It was also below the analyst's expectation of a net profit of INR 73.88 billion. However, its consolidated net sales in Apr-Jun rose to INR 494.63 billion from INR 478.76 bln in the March quarter.
