MUMBAI – Global index provider MSCI is expected to add Vishal Mega Mart Ltd., Swiggy Ltd., Hitachi Energy India Ltd., and Waaree Energies Ltd. to its standard index as part of its August rejig, scheduled to be announced on Friday, Nuvama Alternative and Quantitative Research said in a report dated Monday. On the other hand, Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. and Thermax Ltd. are expected to be excluded from the standard index.

Nuvama expects 12 additions to the MSCI smallcap index in the August rejig, including Ather Energy Ltd., Inventurus Knowledge Solutions Ltd., non-banking financial company Capri Global Capital Ltd. and Lloyds Enterprises Ltd. Along with them, Brainbees Solutions Ltd., Lumax Auto Technologies Ltd., Transrail Lighting Ltd., CSB Bank Ltd., India Glycols Ltd., Yatharth Hospital and Trauma Care Services Ltd., Zinka Logistics Solutions Ltd., and the recently listed Belrise Industries Ltd. are also expected to be added in the smallcap index. However, Bharat Dynamics Ltd., Bondada Engineering Ltd., Hikal Ltd., and Kennametal India Ltd. are expected to be excluded from the MSCI smallcap index in the latest rejig.

Nuvama expects a potential inflow of $270 million post the rejig , which is expected to impact around three days of trading. Based on Nuvama's calculations, One 97 Communications Ltd. was "qualified for inclusion as early as Day 4 of the review period." However, due to earlier cut-off date, it expects the Paytm parent's inclusion to be pushed to the November 2025 review.  End
