--Tremors felt in Delhi, surrounding areas

 

NEW DELHI – Tremors were felt in Delhi and neighbouring areas because of an earthquake measuring 3.7 magnitude on the Richter scale around 1949 IST, as per the National Center for Seismology. The earthquake, with epicentre at Haryana's Jhajjar, was at a depth of 10 kilometres, the government's nodal agency for monitoring earthquakes said. 

 

This was the second day in a row when tremors were felt in the national capital. On Thursday, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake with epicentre at Jhajjar had jolted Delhi and surrounding areas.  End
