RBI revises SDF, MSF availability to 1900-2359 IST from Tue, after call mkt

--RBI: SDF, MSF to be available from 1900-2359 IST from Tue
NEW DELHI – The standing deposit facility and marginal standing facility will be available to banks from 1900 IST to 2359 IST starting Tuesday, the Reserve Bank of India said in a release Monday. The change comes after the central bank last week extended the call money market timing to 1900 IST starting Tuesday, from 1700 IST earlier.
Banks often use an automatic swipe-in swipe-off facility to park excess cash at the standing deposit facility or borrow cash from the marginal standing facility at 2359 IST. The standing deposit facility and marginal standing facility windows were earlier available to banks from 1730 IST to 2359 IST, according to the release. The windows are available on all days. "All other terms and conditions of the current SDF and MSF schemes remain unchanged," the RBI said. End
