NEW DELHI – India's services trade surplus in May decreased to $15.76 billion from $15.93 billion in April, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India Monday.

 

Services exports rose 9.6% on year to $32.45 billion in May and services imports were down 1.1% at $16.69 billion. Services exports and imports were at $32.84 billion and $16.91 billion, respectively, in April. For Apr-May, India's services exports were $65.29 billion and imports were $33.60 billion.

 

The central bank releases provisional monthly data on India's services trade. This data may undergo revision when the balance-of-payments data are released on a quarterly basis.  End
