MUMBAI – Outstanding deposits by non-resident Indians rose to $165.43 billion at the end of April, up $12.42 billion from a year ago, according to provisional data released by the Reserve Bank of India on Wednesday. The outstanding NRI deposits were at $164.68 billion a month ago and $153.01 billion a year ago.
Deposits under the Non-Resident (External) Rupee Account were $101.11 billion at the end of April, up from $99.23 billion a year ago and $100.73 billion a month ago. Outstanding deposits under the Foreign Currency Non-Resident (B) rose to $33.08 billion at the end of April from $32.81 billion a month ago. End
