EPFO raises advance claims auto-settlement limit; disbursal within 72 hours

NEW DELHI - The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has raised the limit for auto-settlement of advance claims to INR 500,000, Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said Tuesday. Previously, the limit was INR 100,000.
Additionally, disbursal of claims has been fast-tracked to within 72 hours, Mandaviya said in a post on social media platform X. Advance claims filed by EPFO members will now be settled in auto mode within three days of filing. In 2024-25 (Apr-Mar), 23.2 million auto-claims were settled, compared to 9.0 million in the previous year. End
