NEW DELHI – Delhivery Ltd. has launched on-demand intracity shipping in Delhi-National Capital Region and Bengaluru, the company said in a release Friday. The new service, available on the Delhivery Direct app, offers pickups within 15 minutes of booking for local deliveries, using two-wheelers for parcels and three- or four-wheelers for larger consignments.

Delhivery will rapidly expand to key metros, Sahil Barua, managing director and chief executive officer, said in the press statement. The new service provides "consumers and SMEs (small and medium enterprises) across the country with a logistics solution that simply works: fast, affordable, and reliable and completes the spectrum of offerings to our customers who can now use us for intracity needs as well," Barua said.

At 1358 IST, shares of Delhivery were flat at INR 355.20 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
