SEBI OKs simplifying disclosure document format for portfolio managers

MUMBAI – The Securities and Exchange Board of India Wednesday gave its nod to simplify model disclosure documents for portfolio managers to facilitate ease of business. In consultation with the Association of Portfolio Managers in India, the market regulator has given its approval to restructure the disclosure document, which is issued by every portfolio manager to investors for better and well-informed investment decisions, it said in an exchange filing.
"While this policy change will not result in any change in the content of the disclosure document, it will provide operational convenience to the Portfolio Managers, as only the updated section of the disclosure document will need to be circulated to the clients," SEBI said. End
