NEW DELHI – The board of directors of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Wednesday approved changes to norms related to placement document of qualified institutional placement by listed companies, aimed at reducing duplication of information in the document. The board also approved making disclosures in a summarised form, the regulator said in a press release.
The norms on disclosures that have been simplified include risk factors that are specified related to the issue, objects, and the material risks. The regulator has dispensed with generic risk factors being disclosed.
Entities can provide a summary of their financial position, rather than providing complete financial statements. In addition, companies can provide a summary of their business and industry in which they operate. End
