Govt opens bids for six underground coal blocks under 12th round of auctions

NEW DELHI – The Ministry of Coal Wednesday opened bids for six underground coal blocks under the 12th round of auction of commercial coal blocks. Bids have been received for two coal blocks out of the six underground coal blocks, the ministry said in a release.
A total of 14 bids were received online and in physical form against 2 coal blocks, the release said. Six bids were received for the Rajgamar Dipside (Deavnara) coal block and eight for the Rajgamar Dipside (South of Phulakdih Nala) coal block, according to the release. Eight companies, including Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd., Dilip Buildcon Ltd., and Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd., have submitted their bids in the auction, the release said.
The bids will be evaluated by a multi-disciplinary technical evaluation committee and qualified bidders will be shortlisted for participation in the electronic auction, to be conducted on the MSTC portal, the release said. End
