NCLT approves Delta Sourcing INR-733-mln resolution plan for Trident Sugars

NEW DELHI – The Hyderabad bench of the National Company Law Tribunal has approved Delta Sourcing's resolution plan worth INR 733 million for debt-ridden Trident Sugars Ltd. The resolution olan complies with all the provisions of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, and corporate insolvency resolution process regulations, said the tribunal.
In 2024, the tribunal had admitted an insolvency petition filed by Prudential Ammana Sugars Ltd. against Trident Sugars. Alongside Prudential Ammana Sugars, Delta Sourcing is also a member of the committee of creditors of the debt-ridden company, holding over 25% of the voting rights. The fair value and liquidation value of the debt-ridden company is INR 816.45 million and INR 579.17 million.
Delta Sourcing is a proprietorship firm specialising in scrap management and certified disposal services for corporate clients across India's commercial and industrial sectors. The company handles various types of metal scrap, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, brass, bronze, cast iron, copper, and tin, which they recycle and purchase from customers.
