NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday underlined the adverse impact of project delays and asked all the stakeholders to prioritise efficiency and accountability for timely completion of the projects. He reviewed three major infrastructure projects with a cumulative cost of over INR 620 billion spanning across road transport, power, and water resources sectors, the prime minister's office said in a release. Modi emphasised the strategic importance of these projects and called for "concerted efforts to overcome implementation bottlenecks and ensure their timely completion".

According to the prime minister's office, Modi chaired the PRAGATI meeting--the information and communication technology-based multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation--involving Centre and state governments on Wednesday and reviewed the various infrastructure projects. He reiterated that such delays not only inflate costs but also deprive people of essential services and infrastructure.

While reviewing public grievances linked to the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Modi emphasised the need to improve the quality and timeliness of grievance disposal to ensure justice and fairness for homebuyers.

The prime minister also examined notable best practices related to the development of the semiconductor ecosystem in the country. He emphasised that such initiatives can serve as a guiding model for others and inspire broader adoption across States, thereby, strengthening the National Semiconductor Mission.  End
