NEW DELHI – PI Industries net profit during March quarter rose slightly on year and beat street expectations by a small margin. The Gurugram-based chemical firm's net profit for Jan-Mar came in at INR 3.86 billion, marginally up from INR 3.84 billion a year ago. It was, however, higher than the analysts' estimate of INR 3.48 billion.

 

The company's Jan-Mar revenue came in at INR 16.48 billion, up over 1% from INR 16.26 billion a year ago. The average of analysts' estimates for revenue for the reporting quarter were INR 18.5 billion, up 14% on year. 

 

The company's other income for the March quarter was up over 21% on year at INR 682 million, from INR 561 million. The company's total income was INR 17.16 billion, up over 2% from INR 16.8 billion a year ago. The cost incurred by the company on employee benefits was down nearly 5% on year at INR 1.4 billion. 

 

In 2024-25 (Apr-Mar), the company's net profit rose to INR 18.67 billion from INR 17.31 billion a year ago. The company's revenue was at INR 75.71 billion, up from INR 71.45 billion year ago. For FY25, the company will pay a final dividend of INR 10 per share.

 

PI Industries tax expenses rose sharply by 105% on year to INR 1.2 billion in March quarter. The company's other expenses in the reporting quarter were INR 2.5 billion, down over 10% from INR 2.8 billion a year ago. On Monday, shares of the company closed at INR 3,759 on the National Stock Exchange, marginally down over Friday. The company detailed its results after market hours.  End
