Vedanta Jan-Mar consol net profit surges over 154% YoY to INR 34.83 bln

MUMBAI - Vedanta Ltd.'s consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March was INR 34.83 billion, up over 154% from INR 13.69 billion a year ago. However, the net profit was lower than analysts' consensus estimate of INR 37.20 billion. Consolidated revenue for the quarter rose nearly 14% to INR 404.55 billion from INR 355.09 billion a year ago.
