NPS enrolments top 16.5 mln in FY25; over 1.2 mln private subscribers added

NEW DELHI – The National Pension System enrolled over 1.2 million private-sector subscribers in the financial year 2024-25 (Apr-Mar), taking its total subscriber count to over 16.5 million by March, the finance ministry said in a release Tuesday.
The total assets under management of the NPS and the Atal Pension Yojana grew 23% on year to INR 14.43 trillion as of the end of March. In FY24, the assets under management had risen 30.5% on year to INR 11.73 trillion.
NPS Vatsalya, a scheme specifically designed for minors, saw more than 100,000 registrations since September, when it was launched.
The NPS is managed by 11 pension funds, including LIC Pension Fund Ltd., SBI Pension Funds Pvt. Ltd., UTI Retirement Solutions Ltd., Tata Pension Management Ltd., and Max Life Pension Fund Management Ltd. End
