US natural gas stocks rise by 16 bcf in week ended Apr 11, says EIA

MUMBAI – Natural gas inventory in the US rose by 16 billion cubic feet in the week ended Apr. 11, according to data from the US Energy Information Administration. The inventory was 3.9% lower than the five-year average for this time of the year, the agency said in its weekly report.

 

The agency pegged total gas in underground storage at 1.85 trillion cubic feet as of Apr. 11, 20.6% lower than 2.33 trillion cubic feet a year ago. The stocks were 74 billion cubic feet less than the five-year average of 1.92 trillion cubic feet, according to the report.

 

Total working gas remained within the five-year historical range. The Pacific, salt and non-salt south-central, and the Mountain regions recorded a rise in stocks, while the Midwest region's inventory remained unchanged, and the East recorded a fall, according to the release.  End
