MUMBAI – Bank of India Mutual Fund is looking to launch its mid-cap fund and may file the draft document for the same with the Securities and Exchange Board of India soon, a official from the fund house close to the matter told Informist. As of Mar. 31, the fund house has assets under management of over INR 114 billion. 

 

Currently, the bank has 19 schemes--nine equity funds, five hybrid funds, and five debt funds. The official also said the fund house is looking to come out with a special investment fund and a INR 250 micro systematic investment plan.

 

Mid-cap funds have been consistently getting higher inflows among all equity fund categories. According to the Association of Mutual Funds in India's website, mid-cap funds saw net inflows of INR 34.39 billion in March, higher than INR 34.07 billion in February. The assets under management of the mid-cap fund category stood at INR 3.7 trillion as of Mar. 31.  End
