RBI says regulatory application submission through online portal from May 1

MUMBAI – The Reserve Bank of India Friday advised all applicants, including regulatory entities, to submit applications for regulatory approval on its Platform for Regulatory Application, Validation And Authorisation portal from May 1. The digital portal allows applicants to track their submissions, the central bank said in a release.
The portal was launched in a May last year to enhance efficiency, transparency, and timeliness of the central bank's service delivery. The platform has 108 forms under various regulatory heads, as well as a general-purpose form for non-specific applications. The RBI will even process applications submitted directly, in case applicants are unable to submit through the platform, through the 'PRAVAAH' portal, it said in the release.
"It has a facility through which the applicant can submit additional information, or clarifications sought by the Reserve Bank," the release said. "The Reserve Bank will communicate its decision through PRAVAAH in a time bound manner." End
