--ICICI Bk to allot 56 mln shrs to ICICI Sec shareholders as per swap ratio
NEW DELHI – Shareholders of ICICI Securities Ltd. will get a total of 56.01 million shares of ICICI Bank, the private sector lender's informed exchanges on Wednesday following a meeting of the Stakeholders Relationship Committee. The share alottment comes after ICICI Securities became a wholly-owned subsidiary of ICICI Bank following its delisting earlier this week on Monday.
Announced in June 2023, as per the scheme to delist ICICI Securities and make it a wholly-owned subsidiary of parent ICICI Bank, the lender was to issue 67 of its shares for every 100 shares of the brokerage held by the public. "With the company as a 100% subsidiary, it is expected that both entities would be able to better capitalise on the synergies in line with the customer 360-degree focus of the bank," ICICI Securities had said in an exchange filing afer its board approved the delisting in June 2023.
At 1030 IST, shares of ICICI Bank were trading 0.7% higher at INR 1,353.05 on the National Stock Exchange. End
