US natural gas stocks rise by 9 bcf in week ended Mar 14, says EIA

MUMBAI – Natural gas inventory in the US rose by 9 billion cubic feet in the week ended Mar. 14, according to data from the US Energy Information Administration. The inventory was 10% lower than the five-year average for this time of the year, the agency said in its weekly report.
The agency pegged the total gas in underground storage at 1.71 trillion cubic feet as of Mar. 14, 26.8% lower than 2.33 trillion cubic feet a year ago. The stocks were 190 billion cubic feet less than the five-year average of 1.9 trillion cubic feet, according to the report.
Total working gas remained within the five-year historical range. The East, Mid-west, and Pacific regions of the US saw a decline in stocks, while the Salt and Non-Salt south-central regions recorded a rise in stocks, according to the release. Natural gas stocks in the Mountain region of the US were unchanged from the previous week. End
