HYDERABAD – NCC Ltd. has emerged as the lowest bidder for four tenders floated by the Andhra Pradesh government to develop the state's capital, Amaravati, a government source told Informist. The total value of the tenders is pegged at INR 16.7 billion rupees, the source said.
Out of the 12 tenders that NCC participated in, it has emerged as the lowest bidder for three road works and one reservoir development work, the source said.
On Mar. 3, Informist had reported quoting sources that NCC had emerged as the lowest bidder for a INR 9-billion irrigation tender floated by the Andhra Pradesh rural water supply department. NCC has a target of securing INR 200 billion–INR 220 billion of new orders in 2024-25 (Apr-Mar).
Late on Monday, the Andhra Pradesh government approved letters of award to the companies that emerged as the lowest bidders for various development works worth over INR 220 billion. Private infrastructure companies Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Ltd., MVR Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd., RVR Projects Ltd., and BSR Infratech Pvt. Ltd are among the companies that have bagged roads and flood water management tenders, the source said.
NCC emerged as the lowest bidder for the E-13, N-12 and N-15 packages of Amaravati roads along with Neerukonda reservoir package-III, the source said. As the state government approved the tenders at Monday's cabinet meeting, Amaravati Capital Region Development Authority, the nodal agency, is expected to issue letters of award to the successful bidders soon, the source said.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is expediting Amaravati development works with a target to complete the greenfield capital city within three years. On Sunday, the state government signed a INR 110-billion loan agreement with Housing and Urban Development Corp to fund works in Amaravati.
