Rains to continue over Arunachal till Sun on cyclonic circulation, says IMD

MUMBAI – With a cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam and its neighbourhood in lower tropospheric, India Meteorological Department Tuesday said isolated to scattered moderate rainfall or snowfall is very likely over Arunachal Pradesh till Sunday. Isolated light to moderate rainfall is also likely over Assam and Meghalaya on Tuesday.
The weather bureau has also forecast light or moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning over parts of Kerala and Mahe on Tuesday. Isolated to scattered light or moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds, with speeds reaching 30-40 kilometres per hour, are likely over Bihar on Saturday and thunderstorm and lightning over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on Friday and Saturday.
A western disturbance is seen as a cyclonic circulation over north Pakistan and its neighbourhood is likely to cause scattered light or moderate rainfall or snowfall accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning over Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Scattered light or moderate rainfall or snowfall is also likely over Jammu, Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh.
Another fresh western disturbance is likely to affect western Himalayan region on Sunday, the meteorological department said. This is likely to cause isolated to scattered light or moderate rainfall or snowfall over Jammu, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand on Saturday and Sunday.
The weather bureau has also issued warning for hot and humid weather over Konkan and Goa on Tuesday. End
