--Eicher Motors Feb domestic CV sales 7,357 units, up 6.2% on year 

--Eicher Motors Apr-Feb total CV sales 78,067 units, up 5% on year 

MUMBAI – Eicher Motors Ltd.'s subsidiary VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. showed robust growth throughout all the segments of its commercial vehicles business in February. The company's total commercial vehicles sales rose 9% on year to 8,092 units in February, but fell nearly 5% from a month ago. The on-year growth was led by a surge in exports and an over 18% growth in its light and medium duty bus sub-segment to 1,951 units. This is the highest number of units that the company has sold in this segment in eleven months. 

The company's total domestic sales for February grew just over 6% on year to 7,357 units. Excluding the light and medium duty bus segment, the heavy duty segment showed the strongest growth with the company selling 227 units, up nearly 56% on year. The company sold 3,500 light duty and light medium duty trucks during the month, up almost 7%. However, the company's sales of heavy duty trucks fell nearly 10% to 1,679 units, the lowest numbers in three months. For Apr-Feb, the company's domestic sales rose almost 4% on year to 71,356 units and total commercial vehicles sales grew 5% to 78,067 units.

The company's total exports in February surged almost 75% to 552 units, the highest since July 2022. The number of busses exported by the company more than doubled on year to 240 units, and the number of light medium duty trucks rose nearly 63% to 298 units. The company's total exports for the year till February was 4,516 units, up almost 39% on year.

The company also sold 183 units of buses and trucks by Volvo during the month, up 3%. The total trucks and buses made by Eicher sold by the company in the month rose 9% to 7,909 units. Eicher Motors reported a consolidated net profit of INR 11.71 billion for the December quarter on revenues of 49.73 billion. Friday, shares of the company ended 3.3% lower at INR 4,773.60 on the National Stock Echange.  End
