Tuhin Kanta Pandey to take over as SEBI chairman Saturday

NEW DELHI – Tuhin Kanta Pandey will take over as the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India on Saturday afternoon, according to an official. Pandey was appointed the new chief of the market regulator by the government on Thursday.

 

In a notification late Thursday, the Department of Personnel & Training said the government decided to appoint finance secretary Pandey as the chairman of SEBI for a period of three years from the date of joining. Pandey will take over the post from Madhabi Puri Buch whose term as SEBI chairperson ended Friday.  End
