MUMBAI – Outstanding deposits under the Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Banks) category rose to $32.20 billion at the end of December from $22.82 billion a year ago, according to provisional data released by the Reserve Bank of India on Wednesday. The deposits were up from $32.04 billion in November.
Overall, outstanding deposits by non-resident Indians were at $161.80 billion at the end of December, down from $162.70 billion in November, but rose 10.14% from a year ago. Deposits under the Non-Resident (External) Rupee Account at the end of December fell slightly to $99.57 billion from $100.67 billion in November, but rose from $97.69 billion a year ago. End
