The department expects dense fog to continue during the early morning hours in parts of West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, and Himachal Pradesh during the week. A cold wave is also likely in pockets of Himachal Pradesh and northern Rajasthan till Thursday. Under the influence of dense fog, the transport and aviation sectors in Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha are likely to be impacted.
