Modi said youth will reap the benefits of the development measures as India prepares to be 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047. This Budget promises to instil confidence that India is on track for the vision to become a developed economy by 2047, the prime minister said.

The Budget Session will commence with President Droupadi Murmu's address to the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament and tabling of the Economic Survey for FY25. The Session of Parliament will conclude on Apr. 4 with a five-week recess from Feb. 13 to Mar. 10 when the standing committees associated with various departments will examine the demands for grants and submit reports relating to their ministries.

Modi said he is hopeful that in the Budget Session, all Members of Parliament will come together to undertake many important measures and reforms.

The Budget comes against the backdrop of slowing economy with India's GDP growth seen at a four-year low of 6.4% in FY25. The finance minister is widely expected to address the demand slowdown and provide relief to urban households in the Budget.  End
