--RBI: Outstanding FCNR(B) deposits $31.87 bln Oct vs $31.08 bln Sept
MUMBAI - Outstanding deposits under the Foreign Currency Non-Resident (B) rose to $31.87 billion at the end of October from $21.43 billion a year ago, according to provisional data released by the Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday. The deposits were up from $31.08 billion in September.
Overall, outstanding deposits by non-resident Indians were at $162.69 billion at the end of October, around 13% up from a year ago. Deposits under the Non-Resident (External) Rupee Account at the end of October were $100.87 billion, up from $96.57 billion a year ago. End
