BJP alliance ahead on 24 of 36 seats in Mumbai districts, MVA 12

NEW DELHI – The Mahayuti alliance of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party Saturday took a lead in the assembly constituencies spread across the two districts of Mumbai, Election Commission India data showed. The Mahayuti alliance was ahead on 24 of the 36 seats in the region, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi of the Congress, the Shiv Sena (Udhhav Balasaheb Thackarey) and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) was ahead on 12 seats.
The Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban districts have 10 and 36 assembly seats, respectively. Of the 10 seats in Mumbai City district, the Maha Vikas Aghadi was leading on six, and the BJP on four seats. Shiv Sena-UBT leader Aditya Thackeray, son of former chief minister Udhhav Thackeray, was leading in the Worli seat with a thin margin of 1,715 votes. In Mumbai Suburban, the Mahayuti alliance was ahead on 20 of the 26 seats, whereas the Maha Vikas Aghadi was leading on six seats.
The overall trend for Maharashtra showed the Mahayuti alliance was leading on 225 seats and had won one seat, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi was ahead on 55 seats, till 1300 IST. End
