NSE, BSE to be closed Nov 20 on account of Maharashtra assembly elections

MUMBAI – The National Stock Exchange and the BSE Friday said there will be a trading holiday on Nov. 20 on account of assembly elections in Maharashtra. There will be no trading in the equity, equity derivatives, and security lending and borrowing scheme segments, the exchanges said.
Elections to the 288-member state legislative assembly will be held on Nov. 20 and the votes will be counted on Nov. 23, according to the Election Commission of India.
This will be the third holiday this month. The bourses were closed on Nov. 1 for Diwali and will be shut on Nov. 15 for Guru Nanak Jayanti. End
