MUMBAI – NMDC Ltd's iron ore sales rose 14% on year to 3.54 million tonne in September and production rose marginally from a year ago to 3.04 million tonne as per the provisional figures disclosed by the state-owned miner to stock exchanges. Production in Chhattisgarh rose marginally on year to 1.89 million tonne in September and sales rose 13% on year to 2.32 million tonne. In Karnataka, production rose 2% on year in September and sales rose 15% on year.
The company's Apr.-Sept. production declined 11% on year to 17.47 million tonne and sales contracted 4% on year to 19.80 million tonne. The company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 19.84 billion for the June quarter on revenue of INR 53.78 billion. On Tuesday, shares of NDMC closed at INR 244.53 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.16%. End
