NCLT notice to SpiceJet on Techjockey Infotech's insolvency plea

NEW DELHI – The Delhi bench of the National Company Law Tribunal today issued a notice to SpiceJet Ltd on Techjockey Infotech Pvt Ltd's petition to start insolvency proceedings against the airline. The tribunal will hear the case next on Nov 14.
"This is a petition filed under Section 9 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Heard the learned counsel on behalf of the operational creditor. Issue notice to the respondent corporate debtor (SpiceJet) for filing response and appearance. List on Nov 14," the tribunal said.
Techjockey Infotech, an online marketplace that provides information technology services, said it had provided cloud services to the airline. However, it said, SpiceJet has not paid 10.46 mln rupees of dues to it.
The dispute arises out of a 2021 agreement between the parties. Techjockey Infotech said it had given a demand notice to the airline for the payment of money in August. However, there was no reply from the airline.
At 1117 IST, shares of SpiceJet traded 6.5% higher at 70.45 rupees on the BSE. End
