MCX, NCDEX notify change in trading holiday for Eid-e-Milad to Wed

MUMBAI – The trading holiday for Eid-e-Milad has been shifted to Wednesday from today, the Multi Commodity Exchange of India said in a circular on Sunday. However, there is no change in the settlement holiday declared for today, the exchange said.
In a separate circular, the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange also said that it has shifted the Eid-e-Milad holiday to Wednesday from today, in line with the Maharashtra government's notification.
The pay-in obligation for the trade date of Sep 13 will remain blocked from the available margin limit of the clearing member on Sep 16. Settlement for trade dates Sep 13 and Sep 16 will be conducted on Sep 17, the exchanges said. Similarly, pay-in obligation for trade date Sep 17 will remain blocked from the available margin limit of the clearing member on Sep 18. Settlement for trade dates Sep 17 and Sep 18 will be conducted on Sep 19, they said.
MCX advised members to keep sufficient margins in clearing member accounts for uninterrupted trading. End
