MSCI adds 7 Indian companies to MSCI global standard indices in August rejig

MUMBAI – Index provider MSCI will add seven Indian stocks to its MSCI global standard indices as part of its index review for August, MSCI said late Monday. These changes to constituents for the indices will take place as of the close of Aug 30.

 

MSCI has added Dixon Technologies India, Oil India, Oracle Financial Services Software, Prestige Estates Projects, Rail Vikas Nigam, Vodafone Idea, and Zydus Lifesciences to the MSCI Global Standard Indices. It has deleted Bandhan Bank from these indices, but added it to the MSCI Global Smallcap Indices.

 

Including Bandhan Bank, MSCI will add 27 and delete six Indian stocks from its MSCI Global Smallcap Indices. The stocks deleted from these indices are Cochin Shipyard, Dixon Technologies India, Housing & Urban Development Corp, Indian Renewable Energy, Jaiprakash Associates, and Network 18 Media & Investments. The additions to these small-cap indices include Aditya Vision, Aurionpro Solution, Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar, Bharat Bijlee, Garware Hitech Films, GMR Power & Urban Infra, Go Digit General Insurance, Gulf Oil Lubricant India, and Heritage Foods.

 

The additions to MSCI's global small-cap indices also include India Shelter Finance, Inox Green Energy Services, Inox Wind Energy, Keystone Realtors, Magellanic Cloud, Max Estates, Moschip Technologies, Paras Defence and Space, Piccadily Agro Industries, Protean eGov Tech, Senco Gold, Shakti Pumps India, Sharda Motor Industries, Shriram Pistons & Rings, Sudarshan Chem Industries, TVS Supply Chain Solutions, and Welspun Enterprises.
