ABB India Apr-Jun revenue seen rising 12% YoY

MUMBAI – ABB India Ltd's revenue in Apr-Jun is seen rising 12.4% on year to 31.11 bln rupees, according to an average of estimates from six brokerages. Revenue estimates for Apr-Jun were in the range of 29.82-31.97 bln rupees. The net profit in Apr-Jun is seen rising 19.9% on year to 4.35 bln rupees, the average of six estimates showed. Estimates for net profit were in the range of 4.1-4.74 bln rupees. Sequentially, the revenue is seen 1% higher, but net profit may decline 5.3%.
The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation, or EBITDA, is seen at 5.32 bln rupees, as per the average of estimates from five brokerage firms. The highest EBITDA estimate was 5.79 bln rupees, while the lowest estimate was 4.97 bln rupees. The company is set to announce its Apr-Jun results on Aug 8.
Kotak Institutional Equities expect revenues to fall sequentially, due to the impact of a high base. However, the brokerage added that process automation and electrification segments would drive growth compared with the year ago period. The report cautioned that key commodity prices in copper, aluminum and steel have been volatile and that may impact segment margin.
Motilala Oswal Financial Services was much more optimistic about the company's results and said revenue will grow 27% on year, driven by a strong order book. It added that an eye should be kept on incremental inflows from transmission, railways, data centres, and private capital expenditure for improvement in inflows from current levels.
