Govt extends duration of e-vehicle promotion scheme till Sep 30

MUMBAI – The government has announced the extension of the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 by two months till Sep 30, as per a press release today. Further, the scheme's total outlay has been increased to 7.78 bln rupees from 5 bln rupees.
Launched by the Ministry of Heavy Industries in March, the scheme was set to run from Apr 1 to Jul 31 with the aim of advancing the government's green initiatives and fostering the growth of the electric vehicle manufacturing ecosystem in the country. End
