MUMBAI – The central government has provided 1.48 trln rupees for education, skilling, and employment as part of the Prime Minister's package of five schemes and initiative to facilitate employment and other opportunities for the youth, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said while presenting the Union Budget for 2024-25 (Apr-Mar) in the Parliament.
The government will provide loans up to 1 mln rupees for higher education to those youth who are not eligible for any government scheme, Sitharaman said. For smooth implementation of the policy, the government will distribute E-vouchers directly to 100,000 students every year for annual interest subvention of 3% of the loan amount, she said. End
